Matt is 2 and he is helping Daddy in the yard. He is a very good helper. He decides to take a look at the lawnmower blades to make sure they are working properly. UH-OH Matt! The lawn mower almost cuts off his eyebrow! Daddy doesn’t do any more yard work that day, instead he takes Matt to get some stitches.

     Matt is about 2½ and Mommy put he and Shae in the station wagon, because they are going to the store. Mommy runs back in the house for, “just a minute….” It is a very loooong minute. Matt has a very very good idea! He will help Mommy by pulling on the gearshift, so she won’t need to. UH-OH Matt! Now the garage wall has a dent in it and, even worse, Shae’s red shiny tricycle is all flat!

     Matt is about 8! He decides to ride on Trinket…running fast down the hill. UH-OH……OH NO Matt. Mommy and Daddy and Shae are very scared, because Matt flipped over Trinket’s head and right into her path. They are so scared that Matt will be run over by a horse. Yay Trinket! She tippy-toes, horse style, all around Matt and doesn’t step on him, even one little bit! Whew, boy is everyone happy that Matt is doesn’t have a big dent in his head.

     Matt is 8. He and Shae are playing in the big field while Mommy and Daddy show Grandma and Grandpa our 40 acres. Shae and Matt want to cross the big ditch, but they don’t want to run all of the way to the bridge to do it. They have a very very good idea! They will take off their new, very fast tennis shoes that can make them jump very high, so they won’t get wet in the ditch and throw them over to the other side. Whooosh Whooosh! Shae’s both land on the other side. Plop! Plop! UH-OH Matt! His shoes both land in the water! UH-OH Shae, she just watches them float away down the ditch….silly Shae! Matt!

     Matt is 10. He is helping Daddy with the yard work again! This time, he is very big, and HE is mowing the lawn. Matt is a good learner, he doesn’t put his eyebrow down by the blades this time! The lawnmower needs some gas…Matt spills a little bit on the lawn mower while he fills it back up….well maybe more than a little spill, it is a very big spill! Matt is not worried though. He starts the lawn mower.UH-OH Matt! The lawn mower is now a big big fire! Daddy, Mommy, Matt and Shae hide behind the tree to watch it burn up. It is very memorable! Daddy decides to take everyone into town for ice cream. He is very glad that Matt is getting ice cream and not stitches!

     Matt is a very nice brother! He likes to surprise Shae by doing all of the dinner dishes! WOW MATT! Matt is the captain of his football team. They take state! WOW MATT! (one of the reasons he does so well, is because Mommy pumps him up before every game by telling him he has pretty eyes)

     Matt is very smart! He marries one of the most beautiful, smartest girls alive — Jennifer Spencer! Wow Matt!

     Matt is very smart! He goes to Harvard! WOW MATT! He makes some very good friends there, like Kim Clarke and Clark Gilbert….Clark Kent…oops, not Clark Kent!

    Many years later, he gets to work with his very good friends, Kim Clarke and Clark Gilbert (but not Clark Kent) at BYU-ID. He helps create an online education system that will bless the lives of hundreds of people, all over the world! WOW MATT!
